North Central Health District’s (NCHD) Health Equity program and Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE) are partnering with the Troopy Food Pantry and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church to provide free COVID-19 vaccines at Lizella Day 2022 on Saturday, June 11.
The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 7331 McCall Road in Lizella.
“Working closely with our partners across our service area is a great chance for us to meet people where they live, work and play,” said Alicia Wright, NCHD Health Equity Program Coordinator. “We’re thankful for these partnerships that create a fun environment where people can access COVID-19 vaccination as easily as possible.”
Lizella Day 2022 will offer music, educational information, health screenings, vendors, entertainment and more in addition to the chance to receive a free COVID-19 vaccine.
Anyone at the event that receives their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will also receive at $100 Visa gift card from NCHD, while supplies last. To be eligible for the gift card, you must be 18 years old or older and be a resident of, or employed in, any of NCHD’s 13 counties receiving a first or second dose. You must show proof of residency or employment within the district to qualify for the gift card. You can receive a booster dose at the event, but you will not receive a gift card. Anyone below age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to receive vaccination.
