NCHD Locations Closed August 30 Due to Severe Weather Threat

All North Central Health District locations, including county health departments, WIC offices, the HOPE Center and the district office, will be closed Wednesday, August 30, due to predictions of local severe weather.

As hurricane Idalia continues to move northeast, much of central Georgia is under a tropical storm warning. Predicted local impacts of severe weather that includes high winds at 30-40 mph with gusts of 50-60 mph, heavy rains, and thunder storms.

For the safety of health department clients and staff NCHD has suspended operations on Wednesday. Regular hours are expected to resume Thursday, August 31.
