If you’re new to the trucking industry, or need to get your records updated, we offer the the medical exams required to operate a commercial motor vehicle. Drivers are usually required to receive a physical every two years. Physical exams make sure drivers are fit to work and ensures there are no medical issues that could impact the driver’s ability to safely operate a vehicle.
What Does an Exam Include?
Each Department of Transportation physical exam includes:
- A general physical exam
- Vision and hearing checks
- A blood pressure check
- Labwork (urinalysis)
What Should I Bring With Me?
Since this exam will determine your fitness to drive, bring information about any thing you need to operate day-to-day, along with your medical history. If applicable, provide information about:
- Any prescription medications you take, including dosage
- Medical aids or equipment you use (hearing aids, glasses, etc.)
