Wilkinson County Health Department Hosting Community Health Fair May 30

Wilkinson County Health Department will host a free health fair open to the public Wednesday, May 30, at the health department at 123 High Hill Street in Irwinton.

“We want to let each member of our community know the importance of taking care of his or her health,” said Wilkinson County Nurse Manager Jessica Yates. “The health fair will give our county’s residents the chance to receive some free services and learn about the available local healthcare resources offered at the health department.”

Everyone is encouraged to attend the fair scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Staff will offer health and wellness education, free screenings and information about additional health department services available to the community. Free services available at the fair will include HIV and STD tests, blood glucose level screenings, blood pressure checks and breast exams.
