All Hancock County residents in attendance will receive valuable health and wellness information from several local community partners and vendors. Hancock County Safe Kids will perform car seat checks, Hancock County WIC will provide nutrition information and WIC sign-ups, and there will also be access to information about Medicaid, STDs, drug prevention, adult education opportunities, and more.
The Hancock County health department will also give all attendees the ability to catch up and stay up to date with their flu, COVID, and other adult routine vaccines, along with free A1C, glucose, cholesterol, and blood pressure screenings while supplies last.
Along with the wide range of health and hygiene resources, there will be free food from Sawmill Country Cooking, raffles, and Christmas turkeys while supplies last. Live entertainment will also be provided by Mamma Mia and DJ Smooth.
“We’re excited to see the community come out to Healthy Holidays.” said Alicia Wright, SHINE Program Manager. “A lot of community organizations came together to help all of Hancock County give the gift of a healthier holiday season to themselves and their loved ones.”
