Fast-Pass Registration Lets You Skip the Line and Save Time
Houston County Health Department is partnering with Houston County School System to offer “Fast-Pass” registration to new students registering for the upcoming school year at the Houston County Board of Education Central Registration office located at 410 Bear County Blvd. New students in need of vaccines, health screenings, forms or any other back-to-school health services can pre-register for health department services and skip registration at the health department for a quicker visit.
“The beginning of a new school year can be hectic, so we wanted to help take some of the burden off of students and their families,” said Chris Sikes, Nurse Manager of Houston County Health Department. “By partnering with the county school system, we can help families save time during their visit to the health department.”
The “Fast-Pass” registration will be available from July 22 through August 2. During this time, “Fast-Pass” service slips obtained at the Central Registration office can be presented at the health department Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., for accelerated services. Student immunizations and school-related health screenings do not require an appointment.
Houston County Health Department is located less than two miles from the Central Registration office, so completing registration and receiving health services can be done in one short trip:
- After receiving a “Fast-Pass” service slip at the Central Registration office, turn left out of the parking lot onto Bear County Blvd.
- Travel on Bear County Blvd. approximately 1.2 miles until you reach the four-way intersection on Cohen Walker Dr.
- Drive straight through the intersection onto Snellgrove Dr.
- Turn left into the Houston County Health Department parking lot.
- Take your “Fast-Pass” slip to the greeter at the front window and you will be placed directly in line for a nurse to complete your services.
