Public Invited to Explore Renovated Facility March 12
Hancock County Health Department invites the public to see its newly renovated facility during a Community Open House on Thursday, March 12, 2020, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The building is located at 516 Boland Street, Sparta. Refreshments will be served.
Hancock County Nurse Manager Shirley Tucker, RN, said that changes made during the renovation have created a more attractive building inside and out, and improved the staff’s ability to serve customers in a more spacious environment. “We are proud of our facility and we welcome everyone to come hear how the health department has improved to serve our community,” she said.
Hancock County Health Department is dedicated to preventing disease, promoting health and protecting the community against health threats through education, service, advocacy and collaboration. There are more than 30 different programs and services offered, all focused on protecting the individuals and families of Hancock County.
“We want to protect your health wherever you live, work and play,” said Mrs. Tucker. “Many services we provide are available free, and all services we provide are low-cost. No one is denied service because of inability to pay or lack of insurance.”
