Jones County Health Department is dedicated to preventing disease, promoting health and protecting our community against health threats through education, service, advocacy and collaboration.
We offer more than 30 different programs and services, all focused on protecting you, your family and your community. We want to protect your health wherever you live, work and play. Many services we provide are available free, and all services we provide are low-cost. Learn more about cost, insurance and payment for our services. No one is denied service because of inability to pay or lack of insurance.

Hours of Operation
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Fridays: 8 a.m. – noon
*Hours are adjusted for weeks that include holidays; then the hours are 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.*
WIC: Tuesday & Wednesday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and the 3rd, 4th & 5th Monday each month, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Environmental Health: Monday – Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Health department offices are closed on all state-observed holidays.
