Macon-Bibb County Health Department Hosting Walk-In COVID-19 & Flu Vaccination Clinics

SHARE

Macon-Bibb County Health Department (MBCHD) is blocking off clinical services for three days to accept walk-in clients for COVID-19 and/or flu vaccines.

There will be no scheduled appointments at the clinic on December 20, 21 and 22 to allow all available clinical staff members to administer COVID-19 and flu vaccines.

MBCHD will provide vaccinations on December 20 and 21 from 8:30 a.m.- 4:15 p.m. and on December 22 from 8:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. at the health department located at 1600 Forsyth St. in Macon.

Macon-Bibb County Health Department staff and administrators want to give the community the opportunity to receive their COVID-19 and flu vaccines in a fast and convenient manner. This will allow for shorter wait times and the option to get both vaccines at once, no appointment necessary.

North Central Health District and the Macon-Bibb County Health Department encourage everyone to get a yearly flu vaccine along with a COVID-19 vaccine. Public health also encourages parents to get their school-age children vaccinated as winter break approaches. Vaccination, along with other preventative measures, can reduce your risk of transmission of flu and COVID-19.

MBCHD continues to offer COVID-19 vaccination every Wednesday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. to walk-in patients, no appointment necessary. To learn more about COVID-19 vaccination, visit NCHD52.org/covidvaccine.
