Join Health Department and Community Partners to Provide Resources

Peach County Health Department and its community partners are proud to host their annual Stuff the Bus event. This two-part event begins with the “Drop-Off” phase, which starts on Monday, June 29, and ends Friday, July 10. During this time, community sponsors and partners are asked to generously drop off school supplies to the school bus parked at the health department at 503 Bluebird Blvd. in Fort Valley on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The “Pick-Up” phase of the event takes place on July 10 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Peach County Health Department. Participants are invited to pick up 200 pre-filled backpacks, 3300 forms, and 3231 forms. There will also be free food, haircuts, dental screenings, hygiene kits and immunizations.

Community partners will also be on hand to provide resources and information on mental health awareness, addiction prevention, and safety.

“Stuff the Bus is more than a school supply drive. Since launching this initiative in 2022, we have remained committed to supporting the overall health and well-being of students, teachers, and families in Peach County,” said Millicent Jordan, a Peach County Health Department employee who helped organize the event. “We are grateful to our sponsors, volunteers, and partners whose support makes this event possible. Together, we are investing in the success of our children and strengthening the future of our community.”

All students residing in Peach County are encouraged to participant.
