Volunteers Needed for Emergency Preparedness Exercise

VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED FOR HOUSTON COUNTY EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS EXERCISE

What: The Houston County Health Department will be hosting an emergency preparedness exercise and learning experience focusing on the mass dispensing of medications to the community

When: April 4, 2014 from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Registration begins at 9:00 AM. Lunch will be provided.

Where: First Baptist Church Garmon Street Gym, 210 Garmon Street Warner Robins, GA

Needed: 400 willing volunteers who want to come learn about emergency preparedness, participate in a mock dispensing exercise, and learn how to work in a dispensing facility. No experience needed.

Topics Covered: Strategic National Stockpile overview, Disaster Ready preparedness, Active Shooter training, and Just In Time Training for Dispensing site activities. Certification of volunteer hours will be provided at conclusion of exercise.
