Office Hours and Appointments
We offer travel health services Monday, Wednesday, Thrsday and Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m, and on Tuesdays 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., by appointment only. Please call 478-745-0411 to schedule an appointment. We try to have someone available to schedule appointments as soon as you call. However, because we serve other customers and perform outreach services, we are not always available. If you are unable to speak with someone when you call, please leave a message, and we will return your call within one business day to schedule your appointment.

Preparing For Your Appointment
We ask that you read the Notice of Privacy Practices, sign the Consent to Use and Disclosure of Health Information, and complete the Travel History form for each person who has a scheduled appointment. Please bring these forms and your immunization records with you to your appointment. These forms can be downloaded here:

During Your Consultation
Each patient is scheduled for a 60 minute appointment in order to allow sufficient time for the travel consultation and evaluation. The nurse will go over the immunization requirements/recommendations for your upcoming trip. You will then be given opportunity to ask any questions and to decide what services you would like to receive.

Changes In Appointments
Please call us to reschedule if you are unable to make your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.

Fees And Payment
A $35 office visit fee is charged to each person per trip. When you return for your booster shots for the same trip, you will be charged for the vaccines only.

If a malaria medication is needed, each client is charged a $25 malaria consultation fee. The nurse will review the current malaria recommendations with the client and determine which medication is the best for the individual. The client is responsible for purchasing the medication at the pharmacy. Policy does not permit us to waive the office visit for the malaria consultation fee under any circumstance (e.g. multiple family members traveling together on mission trips).

Most insurance companies do not pay for travel consultation fees and malaria consultation fees. We cannot bill insurance companies for these services. However, some insurance companies may pay for some of the recommended vaccines. Please bring your health insurance card with you to your visit so that we can attempt to file vaccination services when possible. If you prefer, we will provide you with information that is needed to file on your own. Any services that are not reimbursed by the insurance company become the financial responsibility of the client. Please note, if you receive a vaccine that requires a series of injections (e.g. Hepatitis A & B), you will be charged for the injection at each visit, prior to receiving the shot.

We accept Cash, MasterCard, Visa or Debit Cards for payment at the time services are rendered. No checks please. Our policy does not allow us to accept Medicaid, Peach Care or any other forms of insurance. Please feel free to discuss any questions or concerns with the Travel Clinic staff.

Prices are subject to change without notice.

We welcome any feedback you provide us.
