COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENTS

Now Seeking Comments on Community Health Assessments

SHARE

The Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) is a non-profit, voluntary public health accreditation organization founded in 2007 whose goal is to advance public health performance by providing a national framework of standards for local, state, territorial and tribal health departments. PHAB is the national organization charged with administering the public health accreditation program.

The North Central Health District is planning on applying for accreditation as a multi-jurisdictional health department. We have finally completed our first prerequisite for PHAB accreditation, the Community Health Assessment (CHA). All 13 county CHAs can be found on the Accreditation page. Thank you all for your cooperation and hospitality. We are encouraging public comments until October 31, 2014.
