Houston County Health Department Receives Grant

On Thursday, November 14, 2013, the Houston County Health Department, was awarded $5,000.00 in grant funds from the Flint Energies Foundation. The grant will be used to assist with the cost of billboard presentations promoting the need for activity to prevent childhood obesity. The billboards will feature Houston County residents participating in physical activity. The health department will be seeking volunteers to participate in this billboard campaign.
